Fireworks During The Independence Day Night

Fireworks and parade are integral part in the celebration of Independence Day throughout the United States of America. Fireworks (bonfires and illuminations) has always a part of the celebration as envisioned by John Adams, one of the founding fathers of the independent USA, in his letter to his wife. He wrote:

the independent USA

“It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Restriction on fireworks

In the wake of instances of wildfires in recent time, the government has imposed restriction of fireworks at some places. Even if no restriction is imposed in your locality, you should exercise precaution in order to avoid any untoward incident.

Fireworks safety tips

  • Keep your kids safe- You should not allow your young kids to get near fireworks. Grown up children should ignite firecrackers under the supervision of an old. You should advise your kids to be very cautious while playing with sparklers. It burns at temperatures ranging from 1000°C to 1600°C.
  • One firework at a time- You should light one cracker at a time. Do not pick or prick a cracker that has not fully burned.
  • Have firefighting system ready at hand- You should have hose pipes and sand buckets ready at hand to douse flame in case of any fire.
